First of all, spiders CAN fly! It’s called ballooning, and many different kinds of spiders do it when they are young (still recognizable as spiderlings). Did you never watch Charlotte’s Web? Although, to be fair, it wasn’t the most factual movie out there. Spiders definitely don’t drink blood, they sip up a soup that they help to create by vomiting digestive juices into the creature. Also, some spiders can jump, and are quite airborne for just that one moment! :)
But, as far as adult spiders go, I actually don’t know how I feel about this. The only spiders near me that are venomous are reclusive, so it might not be such a big deal. I don’t think we would be as afraid of them if they could. And I think, like birds, they would be just as afraid of us as we of them, and try to avoid us in whatever controlled flight mode they could possibly manage, even if that simply meant taking off again as soon as possible, WHICH IT DOES, DUN DUN DUN!
