Kyoko has a blog: You're still growing up, even... →
brain-food:
Nobody tells you that. It’s like as soon as you hit the big 18 people no longer say you’re still growing up. They make it out as if as soon as you’re done with college a couple years later theres no more growing up to do. You’re at max capacity. But you know, we’re not, we are by far not even…
For all the graduates out there that aren’t getting anywhere.

Great Scientists: Pythagoras
fakescience:
It’s been over a year since I took any kind of math class. So when I saw this I actually wondered for a moment why this wasn’t true, and why I cared that a² + b² = c². Then I remembered all the reasons why and now I feel ashamed. :(

I realized today that the word “to make” in English is in some ways similar to the word hacer in Spanish, which means both to do and to make. In English, you can also use make in the same instance as to do in some case, though different particles and prepositions will be used in turn. For example, “I don’t know if I can make it” vs “I don’t know if I can...

Something I saw today
Today a sheet of paper in the bathroom stall inquired: “How often in the past year did you seek alternative solutions to problems? Tell us!”
- some school board
I immediately thought: that is one of the dumbest requests I have heard in a while. Sure, you’ll get “interesting”...

Goal oriented people in a nutshell? So what is the American ideal, then? B.S.? A girl will not give you a utopia, she will just make you feel better for a few years, that is proven by psychology. Then things will go back to normal. Yes, utopia cannot be...

Guess what I just said at the top of my lungs to hundreds of people all at once?
Oh! Oh! Oh!
I am bursting out all over!
I am burning all over with first love
New, new love is what I am dying of!
Actually, I sang:
Oh! Oh! Oh!
totus floreo
iam amore virginali
totus ardeo, novus novus armor est, quo pereo!
But it means the same thing!

I am old in the 21st century
I just found out that one of two guys that I have dated is now legally married, though he is younger than I am, and I am only 21. Wow! But I am really happy for him, it sounds like they are pretty great together.
